Teresa Mineiro, a fazer arranjos florais.

hey! I am Teresa and this is my world

I love to live surrounded by color, patterns and textures, I love to explore the world, to experience new cultures and landscapes.

I studied fashion design in Lisbon (undergraduate and masters degrees at FAUL) because it was my childhood dream, but then I grew up and I found out that I could do and learn so much more! Since then I devoted myself to study and intertwine my knowledge in many different areas.

I draw, I paint, I create clothing with dead stock and organic fabric, I make ceramics, I create content for sustainable clothing brands, I design wedding dresses, interiors and event sets, I create furniture and decorative pieces, and I plan to do much, much more!

And what platform wold be as perfect to publicize and sell my work than one created by me?

Get on board with me and I guarantee that I will always bring light, color, and life to your day!

My work backbones

  • Sustainability

Because nature is the creator of the most beautiful things on this planet, and its preservation is essential and urgent, all steps taken in the creation of the products on this site have this premise. After a few years working in the fashion industry, after finishing my studies, and after having witnessed practices that are the opposite of sustainable, I decided that if I ever worked with clothing again, it would have to be in a way that respected the planet. This philosophy applies not only to clothing, but to all the objects I create. The materials I use are natural, recyclable or dead stock.

  • Handmade

Ever since I was a child, I have loved creating things with my own hands. Perhaps this is why I have always preferred and commended the work of artisans over industrial factory production. I bring the knowledge of generations into what I do, and when I can't make the products I envision myself, I choose the skilled hands of people who possess the knowledge and the artfulness of techniques and traditions that have been passed down to them from previous generations.

  • ETHICS

It is extremely important to ensure that everyone involved in the production of my pieces is paid and treated with fairness, respect and dignity. That is why I work with family run businesses and self-employed people, mainly in Portugal. When it is not possible to produce in Portugal, I make sure that my partners have the same ethical and moral principles to guarantee the safety, happiness and dignity of all their collaborators.

  • Made Locally

In order to reduce my ecological footprint as much as possible and to honor what is made near me, most of the pieces that are for sale on this site are made within 30km of where I live and work.

  • Perfectly imperfect

Each object for sale on this website is unique, no two are exactly alike. Whether it's a plate, a dress, or a candlestick, each piece is made with the utmost care and dedication by talented and experienced hands. They are perfectly imperfect pieces, and that is what makes them enchanting all the more!

  • FUN

Because I only have this life (at least, that I know of), I want to live it with intensity and lots of fun. As long as I have fun and am happy creating beautiful things, I don't intend to stop and will continue to radiate my cheerfulness into the world around me!

philosophy

I am a collector of beautiful things and I use and cherish all of them. Although I have always loved fashion, I have never surrendered to trends, so when I create a new piece, I like to think that the next generations might be attracted to it too. Whether it is a plate or a dress, I like to think that I am creating collectibles that can last. Maybe this has to do with my fascination with history and past generations, my taste for finding vintage or second-hand pieces. And if I'm passing a little bit of myself to the world, I want to pass on my best. That's why:

It is essential for me to ensure that my business is sustainable and ethical.

Therefore, the materials I use are of natural and organic origin (such as clay, plant fibers or cotton), second-hand (such as fabrics and trimmings that are leftovers from other brands’ collections) or recyclable, such as glass and brass.
